"If you want to be known as an original make sure you imitate the right person." but then again..I don't really believe that ideas are anyone's property...
Here are some pics of the mural that I have been working on in the bathroom at TOW for the Modern Nomads art show. Im glad to finally be done with it but somehow, I now have this craving to do more murals...to draw on big surfaces...to work more on actual everyday surfaces...beyond paper...beyond canvas...walls??? buildings??? your mind???
this one is the same day as the Modern Nomads show...i will also have some of my art on this one....its going to be a trip trying to be at two places in one time but most likely i will be here early on then perhaps go to TOW later in the night...either way, you should check out the art!
I've been drawing and doodling cartoons and comix for as long as I can remember. I was born and raised in the Philippines, in the town of Camp Phillips, Bukidnon which was surrounded by an ocean of pineapples that went on as far as the eyes could see. As a child, I always wondered about the kind of world that existed beyond those fields. I came to the US in 2002 hoping that it will be the beginning of a great opportunity to see the rest of the world "out there". I currently reside in Historic West Adams, South Central Los Angeles.
